The Kevlar Braided Lines made by EMMA KITES are designed from 100% Kevlar Yarns, with diameters ranging from 1mm to 4.6mm and breaking strengths ranging from 100lb to 2,000lb, for a variety of outdoor and indoor applications. These cords are firmly built in braided constructions, providing resistance to end raveling, increased strength, and a pleasant hand-feel compared to twisted lines.

Kevlar cords with breaking strengths of 350lb to 1,000lb (1.7mm to 2.6mm) are available in either 8 or 12 strands single hollow braids, making them suitable for hand crafts and splicing needs such as making whoopie, loopie slings, continuous loops, and more.

The Kevlar material used in these cords has inherent flame resistance, capable of withstanding extreme temperatures up to 800 °F / 427 °C. This makes them perfect for building shock lines, parachute systems for model rockets, or for replacing/upgrading wicks in torches and lamps in high-temperature applications.

In addition to flame resistance, Kevlar Braided Cords are highly abrasion/friction resistant. This makes them ideal for use as a highly efficient friction saw to aid in escaping from plastic zip ties, ropes, or tapes, and to cut through various materials including woods, plastic tubes, nylon, and polyesters to complete projects.

The use of Kevlar Braided Lines also reduces risks of unexpected snaps, providing assured protection, especially when in direct contact with sharp edges in binding, fastening, and wrapping jobs.

Despite their toughness and high tensile strength, these cords are lightweight, approximating to 10X greater strength than steel on an equal weight basis. They come wound on compact rolls that are small enough to carry on a person, offering easy and fast deployment when needed. This makes them a multi-use tool for a variety of daily life applications, with a wide range of uses including kites, tent guylines, bear bagging, repairing, fishing assist lines, speargun shooting, snare wires, and trip lines.

The tensile strengths of these Kevlar Braided Cords are tested in accordance with ISO 2307 by SGS, ensuring their reliability and safety.
